Is it over?

Yesterday we went to the old house to try and get the last of our shit out of the garage. I had the fun task of climbing into the attic and handing down all the Christmas decorations.
When I was growing up, we had two big boxes of Christmas decorations. It was always a big deal to me when those boxes came out because it signaled that Christmas was close. I would reach inside and pull out each item, from ornaments to stockings, etc. Those two boxes held a lot of magic.

Bobbi has 20 boxes of Christmas shit.

Slowly but surely, I lowered each one down to Bobbi only to discover that behind the Christmas boxes were even more boxes containing God knows what (Bobbi has a hard time letting things go..) Finally, I reached the last box. This was the final box, the very last remnant of our home to be removed, the icon that represented an end to the four weeks of work, carting shit to the new house, carrying loads way too heavy for my rapidly declining physique, packing and unpacking, town to town, up and down the dial. I turned the box around so that I could read the writing on the side and savor this final moment. Would you like to know what was in that box?

Packing supplies.
